The Homecoming Court is a representative group of students that consists of a King and Queen, and Prince(s) and Princess(es). The King and Queen are students completing their final years of study at Georgia State, while the Prince and Princess are usually, but not necessarily the underclassmen. This tradition is shared at institutions across the nation, but here at Georgia State our Homecoming Court experiences their opportunity to win on the field of the Georgia Dome.
The Royal Court Selection Process
Court members are chosen based on their leadership qualities, spirit, integrity and achievement through their contributions and involvement at Georgia State. Finalists are elected by the campus community.
Finalists will begin their campaigns on Monday, September 29 and conclude on Thursday, October 9. The online ballot is emailed to students on Monday, October 6 and remains open until it closes on October 9 at 11:59 p.m.
The Royal Court Winners
Winners are announced during halftime at the Homecoming football game vs. Arkansas State.
The Homecoming Royal Court winners will serve the community twice during their reign through participation in a community service project or the hosting of an educational program. The community service event(s) and/or program(s) will be chosen by the Royal Court Chairs.
